Hey All,
You may be surprised by the title of this blog post. But I am here to assure you that i’m not quitting blogging. In fact this is a very different topic, so let me start at the beginning.
I’ve been dancing since I was 7. I first started at the park district and then I later started and a christian ballet school. I danced in their Pre Professional program then after awhile i took a semester off. When I went back I wanted to go back into Pre Professional but the more we look, the more we realized that since I was getting into the high levels that it would cost waaaaaaaayyyyyyy to much money. So I went into the Youth Division which was great. I still loved dancing even though i wasn’t going to be a professional. Then it all started last November.
I started not enjoying it as much as I used to. I felt like I wasn’t learning anything different and I got bored. But I was scared to let it go because dance was what I’ve grown up with and I felt like it was the only thing I was good at because I had never done anything else. When December came around and it was time for our show i wasn’t as excited as I used to be. I was doing a dance I had done a number of times before and I was tired of dancing. I was on my way home from dress rehearsal the day before the performance when I brook down in the car to my mom saying I didn’t know what to do and I didn’t want to give it up. This was the start of me having multiple emotional break downs, which I am kind of embarrassed to emit 🙂 and me really searching to see what God wanted me to do.
I finally decided to try contemporary dance this spring ( I forgot to mention I had been doing ballet). I had always love that style so I gave it a try. I loved it but the farther I got along I knew that it was time to give up dance. Yes. I cried the day I decided I was done. Yes. I do wish I could go back sometimes. But overall I know I mad the right choice and I know God has something else he wants me to do.
So yes I am done with dance, but i’m not done with blogging. You’ll still have to deal with my posts 🙂
The title is very deceiving. 😏

Wonderful testimony, Ainsley! Sometimes it is difficult to give up something we’ve stuck with for a very long time. However, I know God has something amazing planned for your life! Though you may not see it yet (only God knows the future and what’s to come), He’ll show you in His perfect timing. 😊❤
