Tips For Incoming Freshmen

Hiya Fam!

As someone who was a freshmen last year I know there are a lot of uncertainties coming into high school. High school was a lot harder then I expected so I thought that maybe I could give advice for people who are starting high school to make it a bit easier! These tips are all things that I learned last year that I really wish I knew before I started. I’m home schooled but if you’re not this tips will help you the same. I hope these help!

  • Take notes

This is something everyone tells you, I know, but it is really important. I’m some who has always struggled with science especially last semester. And at the beginning I never took notes but I quickly realized how important they are! I would start taking a test and blank on so many things but having those notes made it easy to go back and look for help.

  • Have a clear mindset

I feel like we can all get easily distracted when we are doing school. We have so many thoughts running through our heads and can get really distracted. I like to pray before I start my school so I can have a clear mind and also just to ask God to help me get through my school ๐Ÿ˜‚. Whether it’s praying, taking deep breaths, listening to music, as long as your mind is clear it’s really going to help.

  • Don’t get frustrated

I am the QUEEN of getting frustrated at my school๐Ÿ˜‚. I normally happens when I can’t figure something out of my school is just taking a long time. But regardless getting frustrated almost always makes the subject longer. So don’t freak out when it’s hard or is taking forever for you to understand. High school can be hard, so take some deep breaths and try again!

  • Try your absolute hardest

Oh my goodness. I can not say this enough! I started out my freshmen year thinking “oh it doesn’t really matter what I do in high school until like junior year”. Guys. I was so wrong. Work really hard all your years of high school, not just the ones at the end. Having good grades all your years of high school will look good for applying to colleges and it will make you get in the habit of working even harder those last years of high school.

I hope these help you guys! The school year is so close and I know you all are going to do great this year! Have a awesome day!

Are your excited for the school year? Do these tips help? Let me know in the comments?

  2. Great tips! Freshmen year is definitely still an important time in your high school career, even if graduation feels a long way away. It’s also probably the most intimidating because you have to make new friends and get used to new teachers. But if you work hard/do your homework, it’s totally doable! ๐Ÿ™‚
