Hiya Everyone!
I thought it would be cool today to show you how to stat a bullet journal! Now I am by no means a bullet journal expert but I have been doing it for pretty long so I know at least the basics. I know I still can improve but regardless I think it will be cool to show you all how to start one. So, let’s get into it!
Why Are You Starting One?
I feel like this is a really good question to ask yourself. When I first started doing a bullet journal I mainly just did it so I could do more with my art. But that is not all you can do. Most people use it as a cute way to plan out their month, year, day, etc. But you could also use it as a way to journal or use your creative abilities in a different platform.
So figure out first how you want to use and then go from there. Trust me it will be so much easier to work with when you know your “niche” so to speak.
Get Your Supplies
Having the right supplies for this is important. Yes, you can get around buying super expensive supplies but the one thing that you need is a dotted notebook. This really helps make your lines straight and makes everything overall just look neater. That’s the main thing but the rest are just supplies that I use that you can use as well.
- a dotted journal
- markers- really any type will work
- a pencil
- washi tape
- gel pens
- stickers
- a ruler
These are just the main things I use but you can use a lot more!
Pages
There are so many different pages you can do in a bullet journal. There are a few main ones that you normally put in but there are also a lot of extra ones. I’ve put in the main ones below in bold and then the rest are just fun extra pages!
- cover page
- monthly or weekly planner
- mood tracker
- habit tracker
- to do list
- birthday calendar
- want/need page
- quote page
- list of passwords
- bucket list
- savings tracker
- my ideal morning/day
If you ever need more page idea go to Pinterest. They have so many good ideas on there!
Themes
I feel like this is the biggest thing you will or have struggled with. Coming up with a theme for the month can honestly be pretty stressful π. Even though there are so many options I never know which one to choose. So that is why I’ve made a list of theme ideas for you!
- lemons
- mountains
- flowers
- ice cream
- solar system
- waves
- donuts
- Polaroids
- clouds
- plants/succulents
- coffee
- different shapes
- butterflies
- travel
- puppies
- avocados
- stars
- pumpkins
I hope this helps you guys who want to start a bullet journal! They are super fun and I hope you guys enjoy doing it as much as I do! Have a great day!
